Independent VA home loan education, starting with the questions behind buying land and building a home.
Why this site exists
Understanding a benefit and understanding a home project are different tasks. Mortgage.army brings those conversations together through practical guides, transparent examples, and links to official information.
For every branch
Our name is Mortgage.army, but our educational focus includes veterans and service members across all branches, as well as eligible surviving spouses. We are independent of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. military.
How we approach information
Our first guide draws on VA publications, eligibility guidance, and funding-fee information. Sources and an update date are included with the article. Older publications may contain historical fee tables; the guide identifies the current online VA fee source separately.
We distinguish VA benefit rules from questions about individual lender programs. Examples are illustrative and are not quotes or approval estimates. This initial guide has not been reviewed by an independent mortgage professional, and it does not claim professional review credentials.
What we provide
We provide education. We do not originate or approve loans, determine benefit eligibility, or represent any lender. The current site contains no lender application form, paid lender rankings, or affiliate links.
